Halloween

Written 1/11/12

Can you imagine how giddy I was when I found out that my due date was in September, because that meant that I would have a little bitty baby for Halloween? As hard as it may be to believe, I didn't plan anything big except a Halloween potluck with our old neighbors. We had just moved the previous August from our house on Woodview to an apartment, while our new house on Idlewild was getting remodeled. We had lived in our Woodview home for 4 years and had come to dearly love our neighbors and how closely knit they were! But let me back to up to some pumpkin patch picture first.

These were taken the week of Halloween.

And this was back when Blue got pictures taken of her too. She was our first baby, but is now our dog.

So the story behind the pirate themed costumes was that a friend was going to let us borrow a newborn parrot costume. So we went and bought pirate costumes for us to go along with it, but then the friend accidentally let someone else borrow the costume, so Bailey ended up just being a pirate also.

At the time, she was just getting the baby acne that some babies get. She was my only one to get it.

She slept through the whole potluck.

One of my favorite things about this night was knocking on Joel & Katie and Tara & Rob doors and surprising them with our costumes.

Moses Boys Reunion in Chicago

Written 1/11/12

When Bailey was exactly 6 weeks old, we took her on her first airplane ride to meet up with some of Luke's college buddies in Chicago. Sean & Harmony were living up there at the time and it was perfect for a reunion as it had probably been 4 years since all of the boys had been together. Looking back I can't believe we did that and I can only shake my head at how easy of a baby Bailey was. Thankfully, she was and we enjoyed a great trip catching up with old friends.

This was taken on the airplane of Bailey sucking on Luke's pinky finger. She definitely took a pacifier at this point, but this must have worked for the time being.

Not exactly sure where we were, but I have always liked this picture and I know it was close to the University of Chicago where Harmony was getting her Masters Degree.

There was lots of silly moments.

Harmony holding Bailey.

The bean.

Here's most of the gang, minus Brandon who was taking the picture.

There was LOTS of walking.

It was really cold (to a Texan) so we kept Bailey bundled up!

Luke & Mike.

I can't remember why Walt wasn't there at first, but he joined us a day or two late. Here he is meeting Bailey.

Bailey's first trip to the zoo.

Where's Luke???

At the time I was wondering when and if I was going to get my brain back. Sadly, I haven't.

Wrigley Field, obviously.

Jose was the baby whisperer of the trip. He is so good with babies! Bailey just sacked out on him.

This was a funny moment when Mike, Harmony, and I had just gotten done doing the superman dance in the middle of the street and I think we were showing off our best pouty face???

Good times!!!
