ACS Mother Daugther Weekend

Christy Risinger hosted the first ACS 2nd- 4th grade Mother Daughter weekend out at her lake house and it was fabulous! It was so refreshing for me and so fun for Bailey. Good friends, canoeing, hide and go seek, minute it to win it games, the swing, words of affirmation, good food, catching lizards, and late night talks pretty much sums it up. Can't wait to hit repeat next year!

Blake's Recitation

It was Mrs. Strickland's turn to present in chapel. I am so proud of all Blake's hard work memorizing James 1:2-8 and now through 10, but he still kinda freezes up in front of a crowd, so here he is at home.

Same Age, Different Kids, Favorite Things

This is Beau & Blake both at one enjoying the pulll-the-clothespins-off-faster-than-mom-can-put-them-back-on game. 

 

And this is Blair & Bailey both at four loving this dog costume. Blair won't have a tickle fight without it on. : )

The Gathering Tree

This tree became a fast favorite of my kids as soon as we moved in! I call it the gathering tree as it is just a magnet for kids to climb. It would have many stories to tell if it could talk. This was the tree's crew last Friday. 

In Their Element!

Fresh air, exploring, freedom, rock collecting, getting dirty, sunshine all put my kids in their element! We are taking a break from soccer to spend our Saturday mornings sleeping in a bit & going on adventures. These are our latest hikes- Floral Park & Barton Creek.

 

 

We Love Aunt Tori

I can't even begin to tell you how much we love having Aunt Tori in town! I have another someone to love on my kids and help babysit & she gets free food and a place to do her laundry. It is a good deal! Makes me miss my time with Tara when she was in town.

Dragon Trapper Simple Machine

In case you ever see a real dragon, we have a prototype for a dragon trapper! The back story is that Bailey need to come up with a simple machine project that had 2 simple machines in it & she knew exactly what she wanted to do! Of course, she needed her daddy's help figuring it out, but that's what daddy is for. It was a great project for my little dragon girl.
