Fall Soccer

Here we are once again at Fall soccer! Bailey & Blake had their first games and Blair will start soon! Blair hasn't officially started yet, but was so determined to wear her uniform instead of the clothes I had set out that she ended up on the soccer field with no shorts because she couldn't find hers. It was definitely one of those 4 kids moments of parenting. It was a great, but hot day with friends!

I love that Bailey gets to play with Mia!

This was her goal face. : )

Way to go France!

Team USA huddling up!

I love that Blake gets to play with Shepard!

Pure joy!

It was a special treat to have our Penny cousins at the game and Colt & Blair loved the end-of-game tunnel!

A Blair soccer post coming soon!

Laity Lodge Family Camp

We were so excited to try out Laity Lodge family camp with with our neighbor friends the Assuntos & Gibsons! We left a little early so we could spend the afternoon swimming at Garner State Park!!

Beautiful Garner

The beautiful crystal clear Frio River!

Our first few seconds at camp was a great picture of what a great time it was going to be as we just happened to be there when 2 different sets of college friends were there also! We also met up with some neighbors that Bailey knew from swim team that we didn't know were going to be there. Being around other Aggies and other parents in the ditches is good for my soul. Luke & I loved the nights on the porch sipping an adult beverage reliving the good ole days at A&M with friends. Let me back up though and start at the beginning- the kids immediately scattered and played! It was AWESOME! They had friends to play with and counselors to engage them so the parents could relax.

Pictures don't do this place justice! It was so beautiful!

Our first activity on Saturday was kayaking with friends!

Sweet 2 fingers was in childcare while we kayaked.

2nd activity was swimming & naps for me, Beau, Blair & Blake , but archery for Bailey.

My kids of course caught a horny toad.

So, the family activity on Saturday was making BIG bubbles. Well, Bailey was having so much fun that when saw a fountain she had the grand idea to make even bigger bubbles and long story short is that it was a great hit with the kids! The kids played for hours and hours and hours in the bubble fountain! I am not sure the people in charge loved it. : /

Bailey showing off her talent of scripture memory- Proverbs 3:1-6, which is what we have learned in school so far. It was great, but I have to admit when LL sent out the talent memo 2 days before camp I was not thrilled and wrote it off. I hate talent shows and would never enter but Bailey was so disappointed when she found out hours before because she wanted to act something out. I need to remember that she is an extrovert and doesn't shy away from a stage and not like me in this area. I really can't believe I didn't think of letting her prepare and it was a big ordeal to her with many tears as to why she couldn't act out a scene, but trust me that she showed us what she was going to do and it would have been a disaster. Thankfully, she did her scripture and the counselors gave her a standing ovation! Lesson learned for next time though.

I definitely did not do this post justice, but my spare moments are few and far between lately. Needless to say we will be going back next September!!!

Weekend at Lake LBJ

The Risingers invited us to their lake house along with their family and 1 other, so- 6 adults, 11 kids in 1 house for 2 nights & 3 days. I will be honest I was 50/50 if that weekend was going to empty my cup or fill it and it totally filled my cup. I can't believe I forget time & time again that my kids are outdoor kids and 2 out of the 3 older kids seems to be extroverts, so literally we got to the Risingers lake house and the kids scattered to play with friends.

Here are the 11 kiddos!

I don't know why I didn't know this was going to be relaxing...check out the view.

The Risingers are go hard or go home type of people, so we literally woke up Saturday morning and went straight to the boat. I stayed on the dock with Beau and took pictures. Check out Luke! I forgot what a good wake boarder he was!

I was not as impressive, but my muscles easily remembered what to do and I had alot of fun! I just don't have any muscle strength right now and so I tired quickly, but I won't ever forget the look on Blake's face as he gave me a thumbs up and yelled "That's Awesome Mom!"

Guess who else got up?

Ms Bailey!

It took her probably 8 or 9 times to get up and what's sad is that my camera battery died right before the time she got up. I can't wait for next time though!!!!

The Couch!!

Here are some pictures from the rest of the weekend.

Bailey ask for straight hair and I finally had time to do it.

She also of course caught a green anole lizard.

What a great weekend!
