July, and the summer for that matter, are going by way too fast and I am going to try to re-cap some of what we have been up to so it doesn't seem like a blur.
Swimming, LOTS of Swimming
Both Bailey & Blake did swim lessons at the Y and here are a few pictures I snapped.
Blake had a lot of fun! This was one of his favorite things to do.
Bailey made leaps and bounds in her class working on using her arms and proper breathing. This isn't the best video of her breathing, but it does show her using her arms.
And not to leave out our littlest, this is a video of "No Fear" Blair going down the slide at the Y. Blake goes on the right, then Emmy on the left, followed by Blair on the right. Everyone who sees her do this can't believe she is only one & a half.
My mom just came down for a few days and took the kids to a waterpark in Round Rock that I had no idea existed. We will definitely be heading back there!
And here's one with our neighborhood fellowship friends at the Balcones Woods pool.
And Cannon Balls!
Reading
Bailey wanted to read 100 books this summer, which meant that I was going to read her 100 books this summer. We just finished and got to go pick out our free book from the library!
Art in the Park
We spent a fun morning with these friends listening to some music, getting faces painted and pizza lunch.
Bailey the lion.
Blake the dragon.
Where's Waldo?
Austin hosted a local "Find Waldo" activity for the kids and made for an easy post-dinner activity.
Colt
We got to visit with the Penny family one Sunday afternoon. Blair had just woken up hence the seriousness.
Mayfield Park
The kids loved going to this park and seeing the peacocks upclose.
It was so hard not to chase them and this one wanted to ensure it was safe so it headed to the roof.
Some Rain Day Fun
I can't believe how much rain we got in July! Gigi sent us this little Science experiment and who knew you could grow rocks? It was perfect for a rainy day activity.
You just put the rocks in the magic solution and
watch them grow.
I know there's more, but this will have to do for now.
Luke and I just got back from our Anniversary trip and Bailey starts Kindergarten in 2 weeks so more fun blog posts to come!
