Busy Toddler

Not sure where the time goes, but Bailey has been busy growing into a busy toddler. These days she is such a explorer and you can usually find her by following the trail she leaves behind. Along with curiousity, she feels the need to touch the things she is exploring. This is the part that usually involves the mess. If only it didn't also involve the trash can! She continues to be fearless, and LOVES to climb. This is how she got her nickname "little monkey". Two places we have found her recently are on top of her new toy kitchen and on top of the dining room table exploring the light fixture above. She also has a very strong personality, and knows what she wants and likes and doesn't give up easily. My prayer would be that she pursue Christ with the same tenacity. Right now she is in a "monkey see, monkey do" phase. That being said, we are trying when we can to let her help us. A few things she has gotten good at are putting her dirty diapers in the trash can and stirring lemonade. Her favorite part of the day is when "da-da" comes home, at which point she stops what she is doing and runs towards him saying "da-da". It is just about the cutest thing. I am still waiting for her to say "ma-ma" and that might change my mind. Besides seeing "da-da", her other favorite part of the day is our daily walks. On these we are always on the look-out for kitty-cats. She gets really excited when we see one, and starts calling for it. She hasn't learned any new words, but a few more animal noises. So far she knows what a lion, monkey, elephant, and cow say. Oh, what a fun time this is for her! I love watching her live life, and enjoy trying to keep up with her.
