Daddy's Day

Luke woke up today and wanted his family to do something fun. He has wanted to take me Longhorn Cavern State Park since we moved to Austin so that was our destination. We also decided to stop at his sister's gravesite on the way home.

Bailey being silly for the camera.

Again, Bailey being silly.

About to head into the cave.

Bailey after she got tired of the stroller.

Luke telling Bailey about Laura. Luke loves to tell Bailey how much her Aunt Laura would have loved her.

Bailey had to explore everything with her hands.

Bailey loved the geese and ducks at the cemetary. She would chase them and try to waddle. I wish I could have gotten more video of her waddling, but she would stop when she saw the camera.

I'm from Meridian and I read up on you, Luke, and Bailey but I don't usually comment. This post definitely made me cry. I haven't been there since the day of Laura's funeral but it looks exactly as I remember. Laura was such a special person to me and my family and I am glad to hear that Luke is sharing all the wonderful things about her with Bailey.

Being Laura's mom, this post made me cry as well, but a good cry realizing that Luke would not forget to tell Bailey about his sweet and special sister. Chelsea, thanks for your comment. I miss you. It does look the same, but in 2001 it was much greener. The drought has hit hard in central Texas.
