McKinzie Family Reunion

Something I look forward to every August is the family reunion of my dad's side of the family. Growing up you had to have a pretty good excuse not to go (like what could get you out of church) and it has stuck with me and I try not to miss. I can't believe I don't have any pictures from 2008, but I found these from recent years past. Only getting one or maybe two tries to get your family picture, you get what you get, and it's interesting to look and see what the kids are doing each year.

This year the organizers moved the location from the Aledo Community Center to the Texas Star Ranch (something I never thought would happen). It was a good move for those of us who have small kids we are trying to entertain and we had a great weekend.

Swimming with balls makes good swimming practice since they always seem to stay ahead of you.

Bailey and Madison. They became fast friends.
I had my dad straighten me up on family history and Madison would be my 5th cousin, although her mom and I were only a year apart in school and we were both on varsity volleyball together.

Not a great picture, but this is Madison and Bailey participating in some karaoke.

My sweet Blair is starting to get seperation anxiety and wouldn't let Aunt Kathy hold her long if I was around. : (

My dad speaking at the church service on Sunday.

Bailey getting to sing Jesus Loves Me for the group on Sunday. She can't be my daughter as I was WAY too shy to ever do something like this growing up.

My family with Nana.

The family picture (take 1) before we could locate Bailey.

Take 2

There are some faces that I was sad not to have in this picture- Rob, Tara, & Tori. Rob & Tara had to be in Austin moving their stuff out and Tori is back at school & getting ready for rush. Last weekend Bailey and I went to College Station to help Tori move in. Here are some pictures that Bailey took of us moving her in and a few I took on campus. Sorry for the quality, but the 4 year old was learning.

Note to self: I do not personally wish to move anytime soon. Also, before we move we need to lose ALOT of stuff. Note to Tori: Good job on not having too much stuff!
