3rd Grade Hatches Baby Chicks

Last summer during the curriculum meeting I pitched an idea to Mrs. Williams about 3rd grade hatching chicken eggs and with the help from Gigi (eggs, incubator, grain, advice & more) WE DID IT!

March 20th- Gigi picks 12 rounded eggs and Blair randomly picks 7 eggs to add to the mix

For 10 days we rotate and then watch and wait for 11 more days.

On day 21, right at 8 in the morning our first chick hatched!!!! Welcome to the world Ellie Roosevelt!

Later that evening, Abigail Adams, Bailey's chick, hatches!!!

On Tuesday, we have to go visit her! Bailey is in love!

Everyone enjoys the chicks!

Abigail day 2- she has a black dot on her head making her easy to identify.

Everyone with their chicks

All the classes got to come visit!

I mean...how cute is this!

Getting to babysit them!

What a fun experience watching life!
