A Christmas Cookie Decorating Extravaganza

Tara called me up last week and told me she wanted to make some Christmas cookies. For those of you who don't know Tara it's not that she can't cook it's that she prefers not to, but not thinking too much about it because she likes my sugar cookies, I email her back with a grocery list to pick up. Tori decided to stick around one more day to help since she was already in Austin. Let's just say that there is never a dull moment when you get us three sisters together and add Bailey to the mix. We eventually finished after almost 6 hours in the kitchen. None of us were able to show any self control with the cookies and therefore skipped lunch because we filled up on cookies and icing. The kitchen was as messy as it will probably ever get and Luke's jaw might have dropped when he first saw it. Tara and Tori both had to lay down at various point out of exhaustion, and I laughed so hard I almost had the baby at overhearing Tara tell Robby the events of the day. She called it "an adventure of a lifetime". But, the real reason Tara wanted to make cookies was that she had gotten a fetal cookie cutter (see below) at a recent White Elephant party and wanted to surprise me with it. She had even given up an i-Tunes gift card for it. Here are some pictures from our first Christmas cookie decorating extravaganza.

We had just gotten started.

Bailey helping Tara and of course sampling along the way.

Tara's surprise cookie cutter resulted in these baby or fetal Jesuses, which ever is less disturbing to you.

Finally getting to decorate them.
