Happy 2nd Birthday Blair!

 

 In honor of your 24 months, here are 24 things about you at this stage.

 

1. With the time change you started waking up way too early and would crawl out of your crib making you the Mezger kiddo who stayed in her crib the longest, but you are no less of a monkey. Thankfully, the transition to a toddler bed went very smoothly except you still are waking up way too early some days.

 

2. You love to dress up- high heels, jewelry, wings, hats, and twirly skirts are favorites!

 

3. You just recently learned yes in the form of "uh-huh" accompanied with a up and down head nod.

 

4. We think you think your name is "Me", but you also go by Blair Bear sometimes too.

 

5. You can and usually insist on doing the top buckle of your carseat and if Blake's carseat is empy then you really like being in the back of the minivan.

 

6. When we give you the  "I love you sign", you respond with all five fingers up and say "uv u" right back at us.

 

7.  In trying to keep up with brother and sister in doing an activities, you have gotten quite good at coloring for your age. You even attempt using scissors if they are left out.

 

8. When going to school you love to help pack your snack (lunchbox) &  wah-wah (waterbottle) into your back (backpack). You also insist on wearing it, which is really cute.

 

9. You definitely got your daddy's rhythm when it comes to dancing!

 

10. Your bedtime lovies are a monkey, which goes by monker and a taggie blanket called lovie. We recently lost and had to replace lovie, but found the old lovie so now you usually have two lovies in hand.

 

11. You know something about a baby inside mommy, but you usually pat my chest when talking about baby as opposed to my belly where as you pat your belly when pointing to it on your body.

 

12. You still love to try on and wear other people's shoes.

 

13. You are VERY observant and notice when mommy does something different for the big kids and usually start saying "ME, ME, ME!!!" to let me know you want in on whatever it is too.

 

14. You, like Bailey and Blake, have an eyebrow furrow that comes out when you don't like something.

 

15. Favorite songs for mommy to sing to you are "No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" and "You Are My Sunshine".

 

16. You get sad when daddy leaves for work, so we have to go to the front window and watch him go bye-bye.

 

17. You love bathtime! After bath you usually take a naked lap around the house. A lot of the time lately you even go get your own jammies and find me to get you dressed. I just need to train you to bring me a diaper and we are in business.

 

18. Your hand motion with "Whoop" is still one finger up (like #1).

 

19. You are a solid tummy sleeper and butt is still sometimes up in the air with knees to your chest.

 

20. One of your favorite things to do is to look through pictures and name people. Along the same lines, you love to read books when you can name the picture.

 

21. You play a lot better around older kids than kids your own age.

 

22. Playing pretend kitchen and cooking for people is a favorite playroom activity. Riding toys would be a favorite house activity with slides and swings being the favorite outdoor activities.

 

23. Unlike Blake and more like Bailey, you love to get dirty and don't always love to get cleaned up.

 

24. You are definitely trained to say "cheese" when you see a camera and want to see the picture afterwards, something learned from Bailey or Blake or mommy.
