Yearly Ornaments

My Favorite Christmas Tradition is presenting each kid with their yearly ornament & letter along with a new set of pjs. Here are the letters & ornaments. 

Bailey's Letter

            This past year it has been all about How to Train Your Dragon, so your ornament was easy to pick out. Your imagination has taken you on all kinds of Toothless adventures. We love that at 8 years old you still love to pretend. You won’t always get lost so easily in your imagination & we are glad you are soaking it up.  Another talent you have is drawing and you are really good at drawing dragons. You really blew us away with your Stormfly that is up top! Lastly, we wanted to touch on your love of animals. You would have a house full of pets if mom & dad would let you. As of right now, you have 2 African Dwarf frogs, 3 green anoles and we have Blue. We can’t wait to see how God uses your imagination & acting, your ability to draw and your love of animals! Just today you told mommy you wanted to be a person who did Reptile Shows and I thought that would be perfect for you. You then listed off all the animals you would have in your show. Bailey, we love you, we love you, we love you! Always remember that you can’t do anything to lose mommy or daddy’s love and that we love you even when we don’t say it.

Blake's Letter

You waited so patiently to get to watch Star Wars, which is a Kindergarten privilege in our family and you were giddy with excitement the first Thursday night we watched it. You quickly knocked them all out and wanted to watch them again! No surprise that for Halloween you were Darth Vader and you convinced Daddy to be Luke Skywalker as the x-wing pilot and Beau to be Yoda. You are also looking forward to getting to watch #7, which comes out this December. We love that your love of Star Wars extends to another favorite thing of yours- Legos. You spend hours & I mean hours building Star Wars creations with grey, black, & white Legos. Your creations amaze us! We can’t wait to see how God uses this skill in the future because you are certainly gifted in that way. On a closing note, May the Force be with you this next year. 

 

Blair's Letter

This last year you picked up two nicknames- Daddy calls you his little sweetheart & Mommy calls you her little sunshine. We love that you are both of those things. We also really admire your sharing heart. One example of this is that at last year’s Easter egg hunt, you gave away your gum package & most of your eggs to Blake when he didn’t think he was winning. Not many 3 year olds would do that! You have proven that you are a little sponge & try your best to keep up with your siblings. We will never forget when you wanted to recite the Lord’s prayer in Latin after Bailey had. We had no idea how much you had been listening & by the end you could say the first 4 lines! And just like Bailey & Blake, you were up on a bike without training wheels at 3.5 and surprised many people! You have the BEST laugh, but you can also pull out the Mezger eyebrow furrow when you don’t like something. You are tough & you love your friends fiercely. We do have to keep an eye out for sneakiness, especially when it comes to snacks, which you would love to fill up on and not eat supper. Blair, we just can’t believe you just turned 4! We wish time would slow and keep you little.

Last year for Christmas, Gigi got you a Meatlug dragon & you decided that for all the Mezger Dragon adventures that went on that you would be Meatlug. We like that you chose to be Meatlug, who is a kind, loyal & loving female dragon. When you found out that Bailey was going to be Toothless, you of course wanted to be Meatlug & I got chosen to be Stormfly. The girls had a lot of fun on Halloween being dragons & we thought it made the perfect ornament for this year. We love you little Meatlug!!

Beau's Letter     

     We knew this was going to happen, but it still amazes us that our baby boy is growing up & that you are somehow 21 months old?!?! Things we want to remember about this age & you are that you LOVE- sucking on your two fingers, your owl & Blake’s little faffey and you call them both “whos”, going to preschool, sweets, Nana & Gigi, the books Roadwork & The Little Blue Truck, pushing the kitchen stools around to get what you want, splashing mommy & daddy when you are in the bath tub. You are very aware of what your brothers & sisters are doing and you know exactly what a light saber is for- hitting another light saber. That’s thanks to Blakers. Since you weren’t big enough to choose for yourself, Blake & Daddy decided you would be Yoda for Halloween. Very cute you were! Had a baby light saber you did! : ) For your 2^nd Halloween, you were content sitting in your car & did not trick-or treat, although you did want some of the candy. You got to spend the evening with your 3 best buds- Carter, Jack, & Augie. We are so thankful for those friendship for you, even at such a young age. We love you little Yoda!
