The Mezger Homes Jr Builders (aka: Bailey, Owen, Becca, and Blake) would probably have been there anyways, but Tuesday's cement pour was special because it was their Nana's driveway AND they were going to get to put their handprints or footprints in it.
Here they are watching a different section of the driveway get poured, while the section where the handprints were going to be was drying. They were so good considering that it was naptime and the temperatures were 100+ degrees.
When it was time, Luke wrote out all the names and then one by one helped each kid.
Bailey got to go first since she was the oldest.
Then Owen, who wasn't too sure about Bailey going first because he's bigger.
And then it was Rebecca's turn. Earlier on my watch, she had wandered onto some of the concrete and Luke had to get it fixed, so he was taking all precautions when holding her.
For Blake, Franny wisely suggested doing his footprints.
And the littlest Mezger cousin (but not for long) getting her footprints.
For Cousin #6, our little girl, Luke and I each got to put a thumbprint. I am pretty positive we have the name picked out, but it felt too soon to write it, so for now we just did initials. Are you dying to know??? I want to sit on it a little longer and then we will announce.
And the final product.
