Soccer started up again and I loved it!
Last year I was pregnant, not feeling well, & not sleeping well and/or just had a baby and not sleeping much and because of that we were always scrambling to get there. At the second-to-last game we realized that Bailey's coach determined the starters based on the first kids to get there and that would not be us because we were good to just get her there for the games let alone the warm-up. Oh, and also last year Blair was in a much harder phase, because she would wander off, but ahhhh, this year is another story. We are in a great phase for Saturday morning soccer, although if you were on the fields on Saturday you might have seen our faces as Blair again snuck off to a corner, dropped her pants and pooped before we could get there to stop her. Not the first Mezger story like that, but I wouldn't mind if it was my last. Anyways, back to soccer-
Blake gets to play actual games instead of soccer starters! Go Team Holland! He was so excited. I am not kidding that he has been wearing his soccer shoes for like 3 weeks.
U5/U6 soccer can be such entertainment- check out these faces.

He definitely has the hang of it and had a few break away dribbles.
And even a goal!
Besides snacks this might be his favorite part- end-of-the-game tunnel
What is great & unique about this league is that in this picture are 3 kindergartners from ACS and 4 kids who will be in class with Blake at ACS next year.
It doesn't hurt that our league is just minutes away from her house, but she is a constant on the sidelines for Team Mezger.
Beau gets lots of lovin'.
Next it was Bailey's turn and the 1st-3rd grade league is a big jump!
These two!
Team Germany the World champs, right?
Not so much in this league right now, but this group has so much potential. I will get another group picture when Will and Kate are there.
By the second game, the soccer player that I knew was inside Bailey somewhere came out. Not because she she was the best player or because she could score goals, but being aggressive, hustling to the ball, playing defense, & dribbling!
So Saturday mornings you know where this soccer mom will be. : )
