We're Moving!

It all started with this text from my friend Christy:

A couple of friends have been sending us pictures of houses for at least a year when they would go for sale in our neighborhood, but they never met our non-negotiables- our next house had to have 4 bedrooms and it had to be on a lot that did not leave us feeling closed in. Sure, there were other things that I wanted (and this house has all of them, every single one), but that was the starting point. What's crazy is that this house is on my neighborhood jogging loop and I have actually prayed about this house for like a year and a half. Don't ask me why other than it looked like it would meet our criteria, but then I would just pray for contentment in our current house and question my motives for wanting a new house. Anyways, you can imagine that I immediately perked up when it went on the market, and most surprisingly was that Luke was interested. I love him dearly, but he and I have not seen eye-to-eye on us having outgrown our 3/2, 1700 sq ft house, in which his office is in our master bedroom home. Long story short, after working with a difficult realtor and the house sitting on the market to allow the price to come down, she accepted our offer last Thursday morning!!! There are lots of details in there, but all I can tell you is that God is so good and he has been putting the pieces together for awhile. Even down to the fact that we got & accepted an offer on our current house that isn't even on MLS with a quick close so that we don't have to pay two mortgages!

So very soon we will be saying goodbye to our Santa Cruz house.

And so, for memory sake & because my friend Erika took these great pictures that we were going to put on MLS-

And just to remember where we started with this house- (The file size is small on some of these, which is why it is fuzzy)

I will never forget this house- Luke built the pergola, shed, side fence, garden and just put in a beautiful front door. I have been pregnant & brought three kids home from the hospital to this house. Oh, and SO many firsts for my kids have happened here. We have had some great Halloween parties and lots of other backyard fun. We have also played musical rooms switching the kid's bedrooms and Luke's office more times than I can count to adjust to a new schedule or a new kid. Lastly, I can't leave out our great access to the Quarries and the fact that we could walk to our preschool. What's crazy is that Beau, Blair, and maybe even Blake won't even have memories of these 5 years here.

So, 2 weeks until our 5th, and hopefully final move for a long, long time. What do the kid's think?

Well, Bailey immediately said, "but what about all my old people friends?" She does have a few special neighbors that she really has grown to like.
Blake said "I won't live near John T anymore". : (
Blair just said "NEW HOUSE!"

When, Bailey was touring the new house and saw her new room, she said "oh, great I can climb out my window and play on the roof."
Blake was the first to point out that we are very close to the Risingers now.
Blair when told that this was her new house, said, "No! God's house!"

So true Blair and we thank Him very much for it!
