Christ is Risen! Along With the Contents of Bailey's Stomach...

Easter plans did not go as planned over here in the Mezger household. At 4:30 in the morning we heard Bailey come and tell us that her tummy didn't feel good. I had spent all day Friday with a nasty stomach bug and Luke got a lesser version on Saturday so we knew what was coming. Doesn't the nastiest version of the stomach bug know they are supposed to skip over (think Passover) the houses with small children??? Apparently not.

This is probably what I will think of when I think of Easter.

Clothes were laid out & bags were packed the night before so we could be out the door for church at 9:10, but it was not meant to be.

Luke & Blake went ahead to the Austin Stone's service at the Frank Erwin Center and Luke reported that it was pretty awesome!

Blake actually let me take a picture of him before leaving.

Meanwhile the girls hung out at house and after naptime I took Blake & Blair with me to a potluck and egghunt at Franny's house. Franny the gracious host with her youngest grandbabies. Note: Blair kinda looks upset, but I think she was just chomping hard on her thumb.

CASCARONES!!!
A big hit this year thanks to Franny & Katie!

The starting line for the egg hunt.

The kids LOVED the confetti eggs

and the candy. Blake was eating as he went.

Owen was going SO fast he accidently slipped. I also at one point saw him slide into the grass to get an egg.

This is Emmy sneaking up on Owen about to get him with confetti.

Did I mention that the cascarones were a hit???

Here's a few post egg hunt photos with Blair.

And this was my bunny cake minus the ears that were already being eaten.

Back at home Luke & Bailey had a special egg hunt of their own. There were almost tears from this little girl because by the time I left she was feeling great and didn't understand why she couldn't go. All smiles when opening her candy.

Happy Easter! Christ in Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
