Bailey & Blake's "Hunting" Trip

Bailey and Blake have watched their daddy, Uncle Kyle, and Joel take hunting trips recently, and have even heard from Owen about getting to sit in the deer blind, so naturally they wanted a "hunting" trip. After 4 straight weekends of busy Saturdays, we took off for a day at the ranch. To them that just means Jeep rides, some target shooting, and then getting to sit in the deer blind. So in that order,

and we saw this really cool nest.

 Then some close-range target shooting

And some longer-range target shooting.

 

That's one happy girl.

And Blake's turn. He just gets to pull the trigger, but he's still pretty happy about that.

And lastly, sitting in the deer blind, which since it's not hunting season is really a practice of how long she can be still and quiet and patient.

I would consider the trip a success and definitely say that the kids are looking forward to next time!
