Red, White, and Mezgers

I thought we would be spending Memorial Day with my parents, but turns out that I had the wrong weekend for Memorial Day (I thought Memorial Day was always the 31st, but it's always the last Monday of the month), so we spent the real Memorial Day at home and then the kids & I spent this past Thurs- Sat doing it again. We celebrate Christmas twice, so why not Memorial Day, plus then we get to wear our outfits & accessories from Gigi more and again thank the people who went before us paying the way for our freedoms. 

 

One of the best ways I know how to love on my mom is through pictures of the kids. I never know what I will get, but I put the camera on sports mode and snap away only making sure I get a good one later. Plus, her favorite holiday is 4th of July so my kids have lots of red, white, and blue.

 

Memorial Day #1 

 

 

 

Then we headed out to Uncle Doug's dock for some fishing and swimming with the Fosheas.

Meet Mr. Whiskers.

While Blake abandoned his fishing pole for some time with Boone in the water his hook caught this big guy!!!

 

 

Emmy was literally right behind him with this perch. I love how they took friend pictures with their fish. : )

 

 

Bailey somewhat tried to catch a fish, but eventually decided to just be like a fish in the water.

 

This was Katie's style of fishing and it paid off-

It was so cute when the kids figured out they could work the paddleboat.

Memorial Day #2

More pictures for Gigi

Then the kids got to meet Colt and I got lots of baby snuggles!

 

And each kid got their picture with him!

 

 Tara shares my love of walking so we were off on an adventure. Uncle Fun was helping them find deer with stick guns!

 

We had a quick visit with Nana Mary.

 

 

And found Pa on the tractor.

 

And Uncle Andrew showed off how big his chickens had gotten.

 

And ran into Aunt Tori!

 

 

Whew! Glad we got to see everyone! Then it was back to Santo for some time with Gigi where Blair quickly got on her tractor.

Then, Gigi had a surprise for the kids and it was that they got to play in shaving cream!

Right before we left Bailey & Pa found a large green caterpillar and guess what it did on the way home???
