So the first thing that happened was that Blake tried to sneak some of my yogurt, unfortunately dropping & shattering the glass dish EVERYWHERE. So as I am cleaning this up, Luke goes to check on Blue who was taking a longer than usual potty break. She was also barking which is unusual for her.
That's when he found the rat that has been causing havoc in our garden. Yes, we have resorted to trapping after significant garden losses.
Apparently, Blue finds the rat in the trap and goes crazy trying to get it by trambling and digging up these carrots & onion, also killing some basil & cilantro plants. So Luke is now cleaning up the garden damage while I head back inside to clean up the glass & yogurt on the floor.
Okay, so Blake who was inside wants to come outside and see the rat and accidently lets Blue inside. Blue's paws are covered in dirt and thus the vaccum cleaner and carpet cleaner come out, but first Blue gets a quick bath.
With Blue now clean and in her crate, it's time to clean the carpet & tile. To distract the kids I let them observe the rat.
After getting the floors clean I go to upload these pictures on the blog & that's when Blake decides to drink an almost full cup of coffee.
And I thought when I stopped teaching that I wasn't going to have any more stories.
