On the way up to see my parents, we made a little detour to visit the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose. Not only was it fun to see the animals up close, but the kids got to be out of their carseats to feed them! No kidding these animals know the drill and had no sense of personal space. I was personally very afraid of the ostriches and the kids could tell, which they loved! They are huge and tall and seemed like they wanted to stick their long necks and beaks in our car and get me. Seriously if I even cracked the window the beak was coming for me. Atleast all the horned animals seemed to know their limits as far as putting their heads in- thank goodness. Bailey was in charge of the map & animal identification. Blake helped me drive until Blair woke up and then she got the some driving action. It was the perfect break in our drive and we would certainly do it again. Our favorite animal to see was the giraffe or "faffeys" as we call them around here!

I'm right there with you!! We went to Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch about three years ago with Abe and the ostriches were terrifying!! At that one the zebras were the best... So fun!
