Small Group Reunion/Murder Mystery/Surprise Birthday Celebration

About half of our original old small group is still in Austin, with other members being overseas, up North, East Coast, and San Marcos, so we are always up for reunions! Rose Marie wanted to surprise her husband Patrick for his birthday with an 80's style murder mystery!!! I enjoyed so many parts of the night, but it was crazy to think we started with one kid (who was in-utero, Bailey) and today we would look like this plus more because everyone wasn't able to be here.

From Left to Right: Amelia, Hazel, Atticus, Elijah, Bailey, Blair, Blake, Luna, and Hawley is in the carseat

I had fun with some low-key decorations.

I just had to go to my playroom and pull these out.

Emily's delicious chocolate, splatter icing cake.

Happy Birthday Patrick.

One of Rose with Blair.

The murder mystery part started once kids were in bed and I, Polly Pingmold, with my husband Ivan, CEO of Baqua Net Hairspray, had invited everyone to a Hair Aid fundraiser to raise money for research and development for new bodaciously large hairstyles. During the party someone attending  was murdered and the person who did it was also someone attending the party.

Here are the girls in costume with side ponytails, teased hair, blue eye shadow, neon, tights, multiple necklaces, leg warmers, an actual umbro athletic jacket. Good job ladies!

We represented a 80's band lead singer, wanna be prom queen, a ballerina, an Olympic gold medalist, and 80's band pop band members.

And here were the boys. I thought they did equally as well with their costumes.

Pictured are 80's rock band member, a wanna be famous break dancer, a TV evangelist, NFL quarterback, and CEO of a hairspray company.

I won't give it away, but here was a re-enactment of the crime scene and despite the death, the party was totally rad if I do say so myself.
