This year it was our turn to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Mezger side of the family and my sweet, gracious sister-in-law offered to host. I am still marveling at the guest list, which included people on Luke & Kyle's side of the family as well as Ali's immediate & extended side of the family and Kyle & Ali's two international students for a grand total of 19 adults and 6 kids!!! They really thought out their house when building it to be able to host that many people.
Our contribution to the thanksgiving meal was a deep fried turkey. Here was Luke & Blake out early heating up the oil and frying the bird.
3 Generations of good looking Mezger boys.
Ali's beautiful table. I seriously thought I had just walked into a magazine photo.
I didn't get a picture of the kid's table, but it was perfect too and complete with these turkeys for the kids to color.
Copying big sister.
Blake taking advantage of Kyle & Ali's awesome driveway.
He also spent time with Owen and his impressive Lego collection.
To say that Owen has some mad Lego skills would be an understatement. Luke & I were both impressed with the time & patience he spent working on his creations.
Black Friday for Luke was partly spent putting up lights on our big front tree and partly visiting with neighborhood friends. One advantage of living on a busy through street is that he saw atleast 6 families from the neighborhood while doing the lights. So fun!
What a good guy because this was all for me and the kids.
Meanwhile I was inside cleaning up from decorating the inside of the house and putting away Thanksgiving decorations. This was this year's Thankful Turkey.
We did an A-B-C pattern- something the family or mom & dad was thankful for, Bailey, then Blake.
This in no way covers all that we are thankful for. We are very blessed!
Oh, and if you can read Day 4, it says baby Beau, which is going to be our little guy's name.
Beau Luke Mezger
We hope you had just as much fun celebrating with family as we did and WOW, can you believe it is December already!?!?!
